It's my own fault for skimming the recent round of Mary Sue posts via metafandom, but now I'm craving a Sailor Moon-style epic Battlestar Galactica story, where Kara turns out to be the reincarnation of the Moon Princess and has a talking cat for a mentor. And everything is told from the point of view of Chibi Kara, who turns out to be the daughter from the future of Kara & Lee Adama (aka Tuxedo Mask).

You know, honestly, I like stories with talking cats. I have read a metric fuckton of talking cat stories in my time. And I feel no shame about it whatsoever.

The years I spent reading social theory, now, that I feel some shame about.

There are few stories that couldn't be improved by adding a talking cat. And Battlestar Galactica is definitely a story in need of some improvements.

That maxim probably also applies to social theory, which begs to be retheorized from a feline POV.

I think a talking cat would pep it right up. Well, a talking cat and a pressure-washer.

Unfortunately the next edition of "The Complete Guide to HR and the Law" that I am now working on is a book rather than a multimedia project, so I cannot include a talking cat. However, signups are underway for the femslash Sueathon, so perhaps there could be some sapphic romance en route to the Kara/Lee.
