I love how when Jack does the kind of against-the-odds defiant, aren't-these-humans-magnificent speech that the Doctor is fond of making to strike fear into the alien enemies, all he manages to do is get everyone in the building killed. (Not shocking: Ianto's advice that the 456 check the records on Captain Jack Harkness apparently failed to convince them that he was competent enough to lead a planet against them.)
2. My utter lack of interest or investment in Jack/Ianto left me feeling like I had a heart of stone at the end. But I was moved by Gwen's reaction.
3. I'm absolutely certain that if Sarah Jane were on the case -- and let's face it, this is right up her alley -- she'd have had the 456 sorted in the space of two half-hour episodes with no casualties.
It has been pretty good, though. Who knew they had it in them?
