I JUST SPENT THE LAST HOUR ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT.

MY LOVE FOR LISA McCUNE AS XO KNOWS NO BOUNDS.

ALSO: BUFFER! SPIDER! EVERYONE!

Re: the preview for next week's episode: !!!!!

(...it makes me feel a bit sorry for everyone for whom Torchwood is the highlight of their television week...)

Oh, don't worry, we'll get by. Somehow.

(I listened to the first of the radio dramas last night...it was so bad, it sounded like a parody of Torchwood. I was laughing at many, many inappropriate moments.)

I stand alone, against a tide of Torchwood squee, but at least I have the Australian navy behind me. Still, discretion being the better part of valor, I opted not to taunt the slashers with "yeah, you may have a canon pairing, but my episode had *huddling for warmth* and *shirtless sparring*", especially since the sexiest scene was m/f....

(My short audio attention span has spared me from the radio dramas, though I'd always heard that they'd made some really good Doctor Who ones back in the day.)

Ha! The awesomely rakish new Hammersley! State of the art surveillance, communications, and direction-finding systems and Charge hissing about Bill Gates from his new console on the bridge, but Nav's still the one and only who can get them over the shoals with the keel intact. REPRESENT.

Also, and much as I try to resist because the way the character's written is just a bit too obvious... I can't help it. I love Buffer more with every episode I watch.

Also again: I very much want more of X's backstory.

Buffer snuck up on me too; I think a lot of it must be the acting. Also, if I were the type to draw sparkly hearts, I would draw them around Nav. But I love them all!

I would read XO fic. I'm just saying!

Do not be getting me hooked on a new show, you!

(I have allowed myself to be convinced to ahem the new TW episode. I hope I dislike it, so I can continue on with not watching TW.)

Don't worry, no pressure. I can totally understand why you wouldn't be interested in yet another show featuring a highly competent professional woman of action in a position of leadership/authority. ;)

(If you do like the new TW episode, don't be tricked into thinking that you should go back and watch the first two seasons, because the stuff you'll probably like isn't typical of past TW.)
