Your last paragraph is very to-the-point. I don't want or need the art world's recognition of vidding. Yet at the same time, it's hard to see a feral vidder stumbling along on their own when if they only looked around and swallowed their pride they could do so much better -- most of all because their audience shouldn't have to settle.
