So it turns out that it's very hard to plot out an imaginary episode of a TV show. Who knew?
However, I have come across another imaginary spoiler for the premiere of the third season of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. This scene picks up right after the imaginary spoilers that I posted last week, following the commercial break:
In the future: Kyle's pointing a gun at a seriously freaked out John, and unlocks the safety.
Derek: "Kyle, what are you doing? He's just a kid!"
Kyle (staring at John): "A kid we've never seen before? Spying on us, working for the metal?"
*the dog, eyeing John, starts a low-pitched growl*
Derek (hands raised, moving towards Kyle): "We don't know that. Let's calm down, and find out what his story is. Look at him, he's scared and confused -- he's not a threat to us, Kyle."
Allison (still crouched by the dog, petting him reassuringly): "Derek, you know we can't afford to take any chances. Remember what happened --"
Derek (hands still raised, half-positioning himself between Kyle and John): "You know damn well I remember, Allison. And what if he is a spy? Shouldn't we question him, find out what the machines are planning?"
Kyle (shifts to keep his gun aimed at John's head): "We know what they're planning. They're planning on wiping us all out. And this kid could be their scout -- they might already be on their way here!"
*the dog's growl grows louder*
John (staring wildly between Kyle, Derek, and Allison): "No, please, I --"
Kyle (takes his eyes off of John for the first time to look down at the dog): "Shut up, everyone!"
*they suddenly freeze as the dog's growl turns into a series of sharp, angry barks*
Allison (pulling out a gun in a smooth motion as she rises): "They've found us. They're here."
/end scene
...and I have no idea what happens next. Okay, I actually have several different ideas, but I don't know how to choose between them! Should I make a poll? Get a whiteboard and index cards? Or -- even better -- persuade other people to play along?

And I'm plenty happy to reap the fruits of your fannish engagement, so I'm feeling a little bad that I'm unable to contribute (this is a subdued way of saying moar, moar!)
Though maybe if I keep posting these snippets, a real writer will finally get sufficiently irritated by my mediocre dialogue and inept plotting so as to decide they're going to show me how it's really done. In which case: we all win!
If only there were a way to make a trick poll, where when you pick what happens next, a box pops up saying, "Sounds like a great idea! Now you have to write it for me!"
