Thank you so much to the person who gave me paid time!

I believe that it's customary to offer fic to my anonymous benefactor, but I don't want to sprain anything or scar anyone. So instead, I would like to make a post just for you, if you give me a prompt -- maybe you'd like to hear my thoughts on yaoi (or yuri!), or write a follow-up or sequel to a previous post.

Alternately, you could take this opportunity to ask me to stop posting about _____, or commit to avoiding all comma splices and HTML errors (curse you, cut tag!) for at least a month, or get some new icons if you're sick of my simian default. It's your call, anonymous patron!

(I've never had a paid account on LJ, so I will try my best to use it responsibly here. Feel free to gently remind of this promise if I let the expanded features go to my head and start flooding your reading list with pointless polls.)

I miss the beautiful/thoughtful SCC lady. But I can't make demands, seeing as I didn't gift you anything :>

Just for you (and because I enjoyed your Hypetape mix selections last night -- Santogold!), I imported my two SCC icons.

(I'm feeling a bit daunted by suddenly having so many icon slots -- as though I'm now under pressure to express myself more fully. It's almost like when people say they dread the advent of videophones, in favor of more narrow-bandwidth, single-channel communication.)

It's crypto's old face! \o/ yay! (You do strike me as someone who would like Santogold!)

speaking of wide, wide icon spaces...that's pretty much what I like about your Sarah icon so much -- it contains enough layers to be (almost entirely) sufficient: a perfect default icon.
And expression is not the only purpose of an icon, either -- there is a stark elegance* in having one single icon act as you 'face' and only rarely deviating from that (which, in turn, strengthens the message when you do switch to another icon.)

I suppose the daunting feeling will pass -- well , *I* am definitely too lazy to go on an icon-collection spree now that I have the real estate, but I love having the possibility of establishing a collection.

(is to lazy to select more expressive icon) (hits post) (this is the way it goes!)

*well, okay, that's bullshit, but when I'm thinking of your icon and, say, [personal profile] logovo's, stark elegance it is.
